Although today and yesterday were relatively nice, I think we've said
goodbye to summer of 24 :( What says weatherman HRM?
I just came back from traveling up north, close but not quite in to NS. It
was nice but not yet autumn. Trees had not yet turned.
It changed right after I came home.
It remains really hot at home, down South.
The crazy hurricanes totally missed us.

We have flash flood watches all the time and I have never seen more than a
few puddles because of the type of soil and decent sewers and the sun
evaporates most everything fast.

One year after the rain, i have never seen anything like it here

Standing water several inches deep

Also on the roof across me no exaggeration, nine doves all waiting to drop
to my porch waiting like casino buffet customers before returning to slots

I’m no expert, but my best guess is that we’re going to
miss any major hurricanes this year. They are still forming in
the Atlantic basin, but they seem to have either dissipated or
went elsewhere. The statistical peak is 10 September. Juan
was 28 September 2023. If we get into the 2nd week of
October, I think we can breathe easier.
Aside from major storms, it’s approaching fall and we ain’t
gonna see August weather again in 2024. :-)
I keep reading another hurricane is forming this week. We have another
flash flood watch here tonight. We need more rain like we need a hole in
the head.
This will give all the neighbors another chance to set their remaining
trash cans free.
