I feel on edge a lot, hard to sleep

We have a pool here that opens tomorrow. Aside from the fact it was a reasonable walk to the office(no longer an issue), the pool was the major reason for my staying here.

When I lived in Philadelphia, and made pitiable money, there were two ways I was able to afford a pool. At first, I was able to swim in my college pool. Alumni rates were very affordable. Something like fifteen bucks, which was mostly to help pay for the janitor. Later when I got vested with my employer, the health insurance had an abundance of preventive health care programs, that included a good sum to defray or completely pay for gym memberships, depending. My dad also took advantage of it, and being a senior he was able to get additional reductions.

I wish I could find a program like that here

Our pool here is an outdoor pool, which means the chlorine is generally easier to bear. Of all the things in my life, swimming is possibly my most favorite thing ever. I would rather do that than any single thing you could name. There are times when i will have been in the water for three hours and I still do not want to get out, except i have to drink and eat.

i would scout out a college, they usually have the best facilities. Tho a y or a gym would not be offputting. All the chlorine makes it one of the safest environments. Imho. I would also figure out when the facility has the least traffic, because I hate a congested pool. There is nothing within walking distance here, but if I had a car, I would find a pool so I could swim year round.

This exercise and the fatigue from the sun- I am so looking forward to it. As I said, I am on edge. Our city, has had four missile strikes so far. They are still ok, but Hard to sleep in such circumstances. I am sure the exercise will help.

I tend to get respiratory issues so I never turn on the air conditioning. No one ever believes me. How can I live in Alabama and survive without air conditioning. I just cannot deal with it. It is hard to keep spirits up in the current situation,. I get that same feeling if purposelessness every day.

When the war is over, I will go see my family. Maybe the answer will be made clear then.
