I have alot of voles here, always have.
They would drive the dog nuts, she would sit still like a statue, and stare at the ground for hours if I let her, wherever she could hear them scurrying under the soil. And woe to any vole who dared to poke his head out of the ground if she was sitting there at the time. She would catch and kill ANYTHING that moved, she was fast and she was merciless.
But no mice here, not yet.

I don’t understand the fire pit thing . If you’re cold, then just go inside. Fewer bugs inside, too. I need a giant night moth to fly into my mouth, like I need a hole in the head.

Anyway, I’m forbidden from using anything that starts with a match or any kind of flame. Includes but not limited to barbecue, fireplace, fire pit, tiki torches, chiminea, propane lanterns, and ватра .
(Which btw I am told by translator that a synonym for ватра is ФАКЕЛ.
Which might be my second favorite word now, after фартух.)
