In the time i lived here the only birds i had seen was some parking lot seagulls and some vague dark brown birds near the pool area

I came outside around two, and a elderly black lady was walking her little lapdog Tadpole. Very sweet. So named because he was born near a fishing hole and was the runt. She said she was so glad i came by because he refuses to go back in the house unless he sees someone walking, which is rare now due to covid

On my way back i was shocked to see one little birdie foraging on the black top

She was the size and shape of a catbird but was black on top, and white on the bottom, not grey, very clearly black and white

When she saw me she jumped over to the tree i was walking by, not sure if she was a curious bird like the catbird, or trying to keep me away from a nest

Not sure who this is, but the tree was like a mini maple, like the japanese maple but completely green

Took a look around, quite a few azaleas on the grounds, but i cant see how birds would survive the pet cats here if living in a hedge

trees crack. Winds groan, and sigh.
Time has traveled with a single purpose of waiting. The novel coronavirus, the new sentinel, waits for us, to take us away, the old folks of little value. Secret currents flow through the air, and through our hearts. COVID and storm, storm and COVID — the order doesn’t matter. They both come on, defying silence. Regardless.--Shivaji Sengupta
