Plum, cherry, almond, peach, apricot are all the same genus (prunus) so would not surprise me if they all look alike when young.
I think stuff that’s sold “pretty” in nurseries is mostly some kinda hybrid, or sterile, wouldn’t reseed itself , I don’t think.
Whatever this is I saw on the walk, gotta be “wild” (native) or it wouldn’t plunk itself in my yard.
Either that or it’s some kind of invasive cholera, like Audrey Ficus.
