cats are weirdos, like squirrels.
Cats kill for fun, not to eat. And the ones who are pets even bring the
dead birds home as “trophies” for their owners.
Squirrels bite the blooms off of flowers (especially tulips) for fun, not
to eat them. They are garden assholes.

We do have feral cats on the property
They left a bird on the property

There is a dumpster near where they live and crazy people feed them

One of them was probably a pet once because she will let you pet her but
she has a son who is completely feral

I do not know much about cats but why didn’t they eat the whole bird
