Rose Niland on Golden Girls talked about rooster insemination on one episode

obviously she is an idiot

perhaps she should have said chicken insemination

“Chicken insemination” would be censored?

perhaps hen insemination is the right term

To consult the statistician after an experiment is finished is often merely to ask him to conduct a post mortem examination. He can perhaps say what the experiment died of.

I bit the bullet and signed the (relatively expensive) contract for our house.

There was no way I could get any assurance of rapid clearing, otherwise.

We had one very big snowfall last year, on a Saturday night. They kept their part of the bargain and had it all cleared out by Sunday afternoon, for $500

Lots of money, but totally worth it to me.

So I could get my car in that same evening, and shovel the whole chicken area myself.

If I got the "any time" cheaper deal, mom would likely not have made it to dialysis , because the driveway would be obstructed and transportation wouldn't be able to get into the driveway. And No way she could climb through all that snow.

And I wouldn't have been able to get my car into the driveway, to rescue the chickens.

The other thing about contracts is that you can't pick and choose by snowfall amount.

So for example, you can't choose "just plow anything over 6 inches" to save money on smaller snowfalls.

It's all or nothing. So it works out great for big storms, somebody clears it for you rapidly and it's worth the money.

Then you get a 1 inch dusting... You signed a contract so they come out for that as well, even though it isn't even necessary.... and charge you plenty for something that never really needed to be plowed in the first place.
If you want rapid service, that's the trade off.

Toto: What?

I distinctly remember my financial advisor telling me that I can afford my medical insurance “for 4 years, until Medicare”
So evidently Medicare will be less.
I’m hoping like HALF

I need to switch to ACA in June 2022
So then I can either pay even more for the same coverage
Or get a cheaper lousy plan for the last 2 years until Medicare

The crisis has changed transport needs and behaviour, and prompted many cities to rethink their transport systems, with bicycles playing a vital role in offering an economical and non-polluting alternative.

This further embrace of cycling must be accompanied by heightened efforts to improve road safety and integrate the bicycle into sustainable transport planning and design. Investments in city infrastructure, including protected lanes and other measure to promote safety and counter the long-standing hegemony of the automobile. --the UN

So Texas wants their citizens to not only freeze or heat to death, but also to have no insurance when they need to go to the ER for it.
Maybe Texas should spend more time on their grid, and less time on this nonsense.
